Another successful series complete as we ended the Turkey Trout Throwdown at Cypremort Point State Park. 28 participants blasted off from the park and 24 returned to weigh in Trout.
A cold front on Wednesday certainly slowed down the trout bite that was fairly consistent for 3 weeks prior to the tourney. 
After the front we had 2 days of N winds. Winds shifted to NNE and finally due E mid-morning of the tourney. This made for most areas reachable and kayak-fishable. Trout were finicky to say the least with temps in the mid 40's, 10-15 kt winds and clear conditions. Even still several folks brought in nice stringers of 5 trout. Here are the results from the event. A big congrats goes out to Cameron Blair for entering his first kayak fishing tournament and returning to the scales with 4 nice trout.
